President
Having held a variety of roles at Morin Supply — from yardman to operations and sales — Yanik brings a well-rounded perspective to his role as President. Working his way up through the organization has allowed him to approach his job with a holistic view while building his critical thinking abilities. Although Yanik strives to find new ways of operating the business, he comes from the mindset that there is no need to “re-invent the wheel”. He simply works to improve, adjust, and tweak where needed. By listening and forging meaningful relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, areas of improvement tend to naturally reveal themselves.
Prior to officially joining the team at Morin Supply, Yanik spent several years in client-facing roles. This experience became the foundation of his customer-centric mindset and helped to forge his skills in negotiation, human resources, and service.
Every day, Yanik is driven by the desire to help shape the National Capital Region’s skyline. He strives to lead the company to be a reliable supplier and trusted partner for building professionals and homeowners looking for best-in-class products and service.
Founder
Gerald founded Morin Brothers Building Supplies Inc. with his brothers Claude and Daniel in 1986. Over time, the company became Morin Supply. While still holding the Morin family’s trusted name, the company had evolved with a new generation, but still reflective of the industry’s diverse corporate culture.
As a founding partner at Morin Supply, Gerald brings unmatched experience, valuable resources, and deep industry knowledge to the company. He thrives in his role as a mentor, sharing insights and guidance that help his team succeed.
Gerald works closely with clients on special projects. He listens and understands the unique needs of each client, aiming to provide solutions and strategies for their jobs.
Vice-President
Julie is a seasoned accounting professional. She began her career in 1992 in the accounting department at the Chateau Laurier and joined Morin Supply in 2001 as an accounting assistant, building on her extensive experience in the industry. In 2006, Julie became the accounting manager, and in 2013, she was promoted to the leadership team as part-owner and vice-president of administration, accounting, and payroll.
In her role as Vice-President of Morin Supply, Julie is responsible for overseeing the administration of the business, as well as the accounting and payroll departments. She is highly analytical when it comes to problem-solving solving allowing her to make effective business decisions involving budgets and cash flow management. Julie is also exceedingly organized and an effective time manager. Her colleagues value her investigative mindset and know they can count on her to develop solutions in a calm and positive manner.
Julie is driven by numbers – always working with data that will assist her in developing Morin Supply’s business goals and budgetary objectives. Conveying accurate information to her business partners in a way that is understood is what motivates her. Leveraging her strong interpersonal abilities, Julie also works hard to help clients overcome challenges by providing them with detailed and precise data, making it easier to attain a feasible solution.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 25 years of financial leadership experience, Ray brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Morin Supply. His career spans industries such as real estate, construction, development, telecom, and financial services, including senior roles at Brigil and Mattamy Homes, where he oversaw finance for large-scale development and construction projects.
Holding a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Accounting) from the University of Ottawa and a CMA designation, Ray combines strategic planning and operational excellence with a collaborative leadership style. His hands-on approach to finance allows him to see beyond the numbers—focusing on how sound financial management can empower teams, strengthen partnerships, and drive long-term growth.
In his role at Morin Supply, Ray is focused on ensuring the company’s continued stability and growth while supporting its mission to be a trusted partner for contractors and builders across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. He is driven by the opportunity to create clarity and confidence within the organization, allowing it to continue building a strong foundation for the future.
Director of Human Resources
Portia Braun is a forward-thinking HR executive redefining what it means to lead people in today’s evolving world of work. As Director of Human Resources at Morin Supply, she brings a modern, strategic perspective shaped by her experience in both the tech and consumer goods industries. Portia sees HR not as a support function, but as a driving force behind performance, trust, and accountability throughout the organization.
Known for her clarity, compassion, and strategic discipline, Portia cultivates cultures where people thrive, leaders grow with purpose, and every decision reflects a thoughtful balance between care and compliance. She believes HR is a proactive, value-creating partner, anchoring business success while championing employee well-being.
Colleagues describe her as steady, intuitive, and courageous in her leadership, with a foundation of true empathy. Outside of work, Portia draws inspiration from travel, fitness, and meaningful connection – values that continue to shape her approach to leadership and life.
Outside Sales Team Lead
Meet Allan Mulloy, an accomplished Outside Sales Representative Lead with a strong foundation in the construction industry. Allan’s career began on the job site as a labourer with a concrete forming company, where he helped build residential foundations for both track and custom homes. His skill and dedication quickly earned him a promotion to foreman, overseeing crews and ensuring quality craftsmanship.
After gaining years of hands-on experience, Allan transitioned into sales, bringing his technical knowledge and field insight to Morin Supply. Today, he continues to bridge the gap between the trades and supply, helping clients find practical solutions backed by real-world expertise.
Operations and Sales Manager
As a seasoned professional in the building materials industry, Mélanie brings a wealth of knowledge and strong leadership to her role as Operations and Sales Manager at Morin Supply’s Gatineau branch. Her background includes key roles such as Director of Sales, Director of Branch, and Outside Sales Representative, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both client needs and internal operations.
In her current role, Mélanie oversees all branch activities, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and collaborative work environment. She is known for her clear communication, deep respect for her team, and unwavering commitment to customer service.
As the only daughter of a respected foreman and granddaughter of a garage owner, leadership runs in Mélanie’s blood. She’s driven by a deep-rooted pride in delivering results, a focus on safety, and a belief that strong relationships built on trust and communication are the key to solving any challenge.
Colleagues and clients describe her as approachable, dependable, and always in solution mode. With a sharp mind, a big heart, and a great sense of humour, Mélanie brings both structure and levity to the workplace, often brightening the day with a joke or a well-timed costume.
Outside Sales Representative
With a long-standing career in building material logistics, Dave brings a vast range of expertise to his sales role at Morin Supply. In 1986, he joined the company as a labourer and over the years he has worked his way through a variety of roles, including operations, sales, dispatch, and more. Having spent time in various departments, Dave possesses a unique, in-depth understanding of the business. His tenure in the industry has also allowed him to develop effective problem-solving abilities and comprehensive product knowledge – skills that Dave strives to teach to the new generation of workers.
Dave is exceedingly passionate about the construction sector. Watching projects come together, seeing the impact of innovations within the industry, and finding solutions that help clients become more profitable are all factors that motivate and inspire him each day. He loves building relationships with clients and colleagues, and he leans on his extensive experience to help anyone who needs it. From estimating to logistics management and everything in between, Dave has done it all, and he’s ready to share his insights.
Outside Sales Representative
Kjev is a skilled sales professional with a strong background in both general and construction-focused sales. He has a proven ability to put customers at ease throughout the pre- and post-sales process. His clients, whether current, prospective, or past, know they can always count on Kjev to answer their call and lend a listening ear when they need it.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Kjev loves to solve problems and make deep, meaningful connections with clients. He is a natural communicator, with a knack for mediation and building lasting bonds with colleagues and customers alike. Kjev’s passion for continuous learning fuels his adaptability and allows him to effectively represent the business as well as the needs of clients.
Outside Sales Representative
Kevin O’Donnell brings decades of experience in customer service to his role at Morin Supply. With a background that includes managing his own construction company and acquiring certifications in welding and computer technology, Kevin is well-equipped to provide top-notch service and pricing to our clients.
Kevin prioritizes understanding and meeting client needs through excellent communication and deep knowledge of building code regulations—national, provincial, and municipal—which allows him to cater to specific customer needs effectively.
Kevin is valued by colleagues and clients for his respectful and professional approach to handling differing opinions, his empathetic people skills, and his appreciation for each person’s unique story. Outside of work, he enjoys renovations, woodworking, and history, particularly military history. Kevin’s diverse interests and skills make him a vital member of our sales team and a pleasure to work with.
