Our story
The History of Morin Supply
In 1986, brothers Claude, Gerald and Daniel Morin founded Morin Bros. Building Supplies Inc. They were joined in those early days by their younger brother Gaston.
From a modest 4,800 square foot shop on Grenfell Crescent in Nepean, Morin Bros. grew into a major distributor of specialty construction products and materials across the National Capital Region. In 1993, we moved to our current location at 7 Tristan Court.
We’ve always invested in our people and their expertise and were the first to bring many speciality products to the Ottawa-Gatineau market. Homeowners, contractors, engineers and architects rely on us to source the products they need from the industry’s most respected manufacturers.
As the company has evolved and a new generation of Morins has stepped up to lead the team, our name and logo have changed too. Our new name, Morin Supply, retains our trusted family name while reflecting our inclusive corporate culture and the diversity of today’s construction industry. We’re still committed to the same values as the company’s founders, striving to ensure we serve each customer with excellence, passion and solutions. Our team’s extensive product knowledge, long-standing relationships, technical expertise and commitment to collaboration has made the Morin name synonymous with trust and reliability in the Ottawa-Gatineau market.
A New Milestone
As Morin Supply continued to grow, in the fall of 2023, we opened the doors to a second location at 24 Rue Dumouchel in Gatineau. This expansion was driven by our unwavering commitment to providing the best service to our valued customers and to better serve the Gatineau community.
This new branch marked another milestone in our journey, reflecting our dedication to meeting the needs of our clientele and extending the legacy of excellence and customer satisfaction that has been at the heart of Morin Suppy since its inception. With both locations now thriving, we are poised to serve the National Capital Region with an even greater level of convenience and accessibility for all their construction product needs.
